#RedAlertRestart: Tulsa venues show support to save live events impacted by coronavirus pandemic

TULSA, Okla. — Several Tulsa venues are taking part in #RedAlertRestart to save live events and theaters across the country.

#WeMakeEvents is a coalition of businesses, live events workers, unions and trade bodies that are lighting up their venues, homes and cities to raise awareness to support live events impacted by the coronavirus pandemic, according to the #WeMakeEvents website.

Tulsa's iconic Circle Cinema showed support on Facebook saying, "the live events and theaters we love may never recover from the pandemic."

Tulsa's Celebrity Attractions posted a picture of the Tulsa Performing Arts Center illuminated in red lights for the cause.

While the BOK Center in downtown Tulsa, took to Facebook, saying, "We shine red to raise awareness about the current state of the hard-hit live events industry in hopes to help urge congress to pass the Restart Act."

Live event fans can take action in helping their locally impacted theaters and businesses by:

  1. posting a red-tinted photo of their favorite live event to their social media with the following caption --> #RedAlertRESTART: the live events we love may never recover from the pandemic, we need to take action! Take 2 minutes to contact your representatives here, and post a red photo of you at your favorite event, too: https://wemakeevents.org #WeMakeEvents #ExtendPUA
  2. reaching out to their representatives by completing a form on the #WeMakeEvents website.
  3. Check out the hashtag #RedAlertRESTART and share/RT images of venues and live events workers they love.

Live event venues and workers can take action by:

  1. Help get more venues lit up by spreading the word!
  2. Reaching out to representatives by completing a form on the #WeMakeEvents website.
  3.
