SAND SPRINGS, Okla. – The Red Cross is assisting a family that returned home from a shopping trip to find their home heavily damaged from a fire.
Tulsa fire crews were called to the house Tuesday night and were able to somewhat salvage the residence despite the flames’ damage.
The family of five was reportedly shopping at Walmart when the flames erupted, so no person was injured. Fire crews confirmed, however, that the family’s dog was found dead and their cat is missing.
Crews are still trying to determine the cause of the fire is unknown.
