Record 2,800 athletes compete in Special Olympics Oklahoma

Special Olympics Oklahoma is about to get underway.

The group says a record 2,800 athletes from around the state are competing in the winter games.

Athletes will compete in basketball, bowling, swimming and volleyball.

It starts Thursday at the OU campus in Norman and in surrounding communities around Oklahoma City.
