The Tulsa community came together Sunday afternoon for a Rally for Justice after the fatal shooting of Terence Crutcher.

Those who attended united in song as they listened to different speakers from across the country and various law enforcement agencies.

Event coordinators say Sunday's event is about strengthening the relationship between the community and law enforcement.

For one participant, the importance of the rally was for people from all races to come together and understand each other.

"It's good to see people coming together and working hard to find ways to bridge that gap," says Dan Piazzola, a participant in the rally. "It isn't an easy thing to deal with, it isn't an easy solution, but people are looking for solutions now."

Piazzola says he is also proud to live in a community that continues to rally peacefully following the shooting of Terence Crutcher.

The rally comes after Tulsa Police officer Betty Shelby was charged for first degree manslaughter in the fatal shooting of Crutcher.
