TULSA - Authorities are investigating the recent death of an inmate from R. B. Dick Conner Correctional Center this week.
John Vaughan was taken to a hospital for treatment after, authorities say, he was involved in a “scuffle.” After being admitted, Vaughan was pronounced dead at the hospital around 9:30 p.m. Thursday.
The specifics of his alleged injuries are still being investigated and surveillance video is being reviewed to determine what happened, say authorities.
Vaughan was serving time for unlawful possession of controlled drug, post imprisonment supervision, assault with a dangerous weapon, larceny of merchandise from retailer and knowingly receiving or concealing stolen property.
