A multi-million dollar entertainment district - including an outlet mall at the Hard Rock Casino and Hotel has come to a screeching halt.
The Cherokee Nation say the project is not going forward right now.
They eluded to the fact that more people are shopping online - forcing many brick and mortar stores to close down.
The project would have connected to the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino.
The tribe was partnering up with Woodmont Outlets to build the gigantic 300,000 square foot area.
It was going to feature a sports bar, restaurants and other entertainment venues.
They also said it would create 1,000 permanent jobs and even more during construction.
The Cherokee Nation just sent out a statement saying, "They will conintue to monitor retail trends and respond to market demands accordingly."
