City of Tulsa officials said a proposal was made Wednesday to increase rates on water and sewer.
City of Tulsa's Kim MacLeod said the proposal was two percent increase on water bills and nine percent increase on sewer.
MacLeod said no action was taken on the proposal and the council has about a month to review and adopt.
"The two percent increase is a lower raise than anticipated," MacLeod said.
The proposal is to cover water and sewer infrastructure needs, existing maintenance and repairs, MacLeod said.
