BROKEN ARROW, Okla. - A Broken Arrow man was arrested Sunday after police say he pointed a gun at his girlfriend and tried to set her on fire.

Police say Sunday they were called to the 3300 block of East Oakridge Street to investigate a domestic disturbance.

The victim said she got into an argument with her boyfriend, Travis Walbran, 37, when he allegedly smashed her phone and pointed a gun at her.

According to police, Walbran left the home and then returned, getting into another argument with a victim.

Walbran then allegedly strangled the victim, poured flammable liquid from outdoor torches on her, and asked if she wanted him to set her on fire.

The victim was able to get away from Walbran, locking herself in a bedroom and calling police.

Walbran was arrested for assault with a deadly weapon and assault and battery.
