PROBLEM SOLVERS: Large hole fixed in Tulsa mans yard

Larry Washburn contacted the problem solvers at 2 Works for You after a plumber left a hole in his yard for months.

Back in August of 2019, a neighbor's plumber dug the hole to tie into the sewer line in Washburn's yard.

During the work, a city inspector ordered to have the project stopped for not having a permit.

We were able to talk to the plumber and the city about the issue, and eventually the right permits were issued.

"If it hadn't been for channel 2 news, it would probably still be a big hole in the ground," Washburn said.

Washburn says he let the plumber come over and dig that hole in good faith, expecting it to be refilled quickly.

He says from now on, he won't be so quick to say yes.

"If I had to do this all over again, I think I would have asked more questions, and I would have checked out the plumber that was doing the work, and I would be more specific in the answers I had, because it's a learning experience," Washburn said.
