I've been getting a lot of questions from our viewers about some of the biggest companies in Green country like QuikTrip.

QuikTrip is on the list of "essential businesses" that must stay open for the public good, because it sells gasoline and food fpr off premise consumption, but some of you had some other concerns.

One viewer said, "I have a family member that works at QuikTrip. They are not allowing their employees to wear gloves, masks, or anything. It just worries me constantly that they are handling money and in such close proximity to the customers."

Another caller asked, "I was curious why QT, QuikTrip, is business as usual and not doing anything to separate the people and their employees. They will not even let their employees wear protective masks or gloves."

2 Works for You reached out to QuikTrip officials to get the answer. A spokesperson released a statement saying, "We are constantly cleaning, disinfecting and sterilizing our foodservice operations and customer touchpoints. We do this already - all day... every day. We are constantly cleaning and sanitizing our public bathrooms, door handles, counters and equipment that our employees and customers use. During this current epidemic, we have redoubled our cleaning efforts... QuikTrip is monitoring the situation carefully, and we are implementing recommendations from medical experts like the CDC and state and local health authorities."

We responded asking specifically about employees being allowed to wear gloves and masks and were told, "Based on current CDC and other health agency guidelines that we are aware of, we are not doing this for all employees. However, if any of our employees have a medical need and we receive a medical accommodation request, we are allowing this."
