A big bulk of the calls I've been getting is about why certain business are open and others are not.
Why is one business closing and sending all of their employees home, but another is still open at full capacity with all employees still there?
One viewer called and said, "I was calling regarding Navistar International, also known as the bus plant on North Mingo, and there are like 1,500 employees working there."
Another caller said, "I have a fiancé that's working at the bus plant of about 1,500 people, maybe more. They're kind of just all working basically on top of each other; they're all next to each other."
So, I reached out to Navistar to find out why they're not adhereing to Gov. Stitt's executive order of 10 people or less.
Its corporate office said, "The Navistar IC Bus Manufacturing Plant in Tulsa is continuing regular manufacturing operations at this time. The facility is covered under the Department of Homeland Security's list of critical manufacturing and exempt from Governor J. Kevin Stitt's executive order. To protect its employees, the plant is closely following the CDC's recommendations for increased cleaning and social distancing."
