TULSA, Okla. — Caught on camera - a bold porch pirate targeting a Tulsa home.
The video comes from Rhys Martin, an author and photographer who recently wrote the book 'Lost Restaurants of Tulsa.’
He says a thief stole a box containing copies of his book 'Lost Restaurants of Tulsa,' which he ordered to sell this weekend at Mayfest.
“Honestly, I consider myself lucky,” he says. “It wasn’t medication; it wasnt anything vital. You know, I’m out the money for those books, which is terrible, but you know, I’m sure whoever did this takes packages off other people's porches, too. It’s just a crime of opportunity and I don’t understand why somebody would just do that."
If you recognize the person in the surveillance video, call police.
Some good news came of the situation.
Martin says a few local shops that stock his book are giving him some copies to sell at Mayfest.
