TULSA — UPDATE: Tulsa police have confirmed the hostage situation near 51st and South Memorial was a false alarm.
Police say an intoxicated man admitted he had mental problems and had not taken his medication.
The investigation did not match up with a story the man had told police, however, the man was arrested in connection to warrants out for his arrest, police say.

Police have surrounded a neighborhood near an apartment complex.
EMSA paramedics and Tulsa fire crews are also responding.
