Police: Woman punched 7-year-old family member in face, hit her with bat

TULSA — A Tulsa woman is behind bars after she was accused of punching a young family member, and hitting her with a bat.

A report was filed in northeast Tulsa on behalf of a 7-year-old girl in May 2018.

The child said Bridget Gladney, 23, punched her multiple times, including one time in the face, according to court documents. The child also said the woman hit her with a bat.

The child was able to sneak over to a friend's house to call police.

Court documents said the child and scars on various parts of her body and areas of post-inflammatory pigmentation. There was also significant and subconjunctival hemorrhage from physical abuse, documents said.

Gladney faces one count of child abuse by injury and one count of child neglect.
