BARTLESVILLE, Okla. — A woman was taken to the hospital in critical condition after police said her boyfriend stabbed her early Monday morning.
The incident happened at about 1:40 a.m. in the 3300 block of Southeast Nowata Road.
Police said the suspect, Ronald Muirheid, 41, lived at the home, but fled the scene in a Ford pickup after the incident.
He was located walking near an apartment complex on Nowata Road. Police said he had blood on his clothes.
He was arrested on a count of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, domestic abuse and a city warrant. Police said there was a history of domestic abuse between Muirheid and the victim.
