ENID, Okla. (AP) - Enid police say a 15-year-old girl has been killed in a hit-and-run crash and the suspected driver is in custody.

Capt. Jack Morris says the girl was walking with another person about 12:15 a.m. Saturday when she was struck and killed by a white sport utility vehicle.

The girl's name wasn't released.

Morris says a white SUV was reported on fire a short time later and police eventually found evidence on the SUV that's believed to have come from the fatal accident.

Morris says officers went to the home of the registered owner of the SUV and found additional evidence believed to be from the accident and arrested a man in the home for leaving the scene of an accident with injury and leaving the scene of a fatal accident.
