Tulsa police said a stolen Tulsa Public Schools school bus has been recovered.

Police said a bus driver went into a Quiktrip and left the bus running.

A male suspect, later identified as Oscar Aguilar, jumped into the bus and took it for a joy ride, Sgt. Shane Tuell said.

TPD officials said that TPS buses feed GPS location to police, but the GPS isn't currently working on the bus.

TPS began stopping the buses to check them out, police said.

Police said Aguilar started talking on the bus radio and they were able to talk to him and he told them he was at the Sutherland's in the 9500 block of East 21st.

Officers were able to locate the bus, officials said.

TPS officials said there were no students on the bus at the time that it was taken and there was no damage done to the bus.

Aguilar was arrested, officers said.
