TULSA - Police were called to a Tulsa expressway Monday morning after receiving reports of a man being struck by a vehicle.
Police received a call around 3:30 Monday morning regarding a man down in the roadway near 1500 North Highway 11.
When police arrived they say several people were administering first aid to the victim who had been hit by a vehicle.
The man was transported to St. John's, where he was later pronounced dead. According to police, the vehicle that hit the victim fled the scene.
Police say they do not know why the man was walking in the middle of the road. An investigation is underway to find the vehicle that struck the man.
