1 dead after shooting in midtown Tulsa

UPDATE: Tulsa Police say the 17-year-old has not been arrested and at this time is not being charged. Investigators say the teenager shot his stepfather after he claimed he was making threats toward his mother while intoxicated. 

TULSA, Okla. - A 17-year-old stepson allegedly shot and killed his 40-year-old stepfather in midtown Tulsa late Thursday night.

Tulsa police responded to a deadly shooting Thursday just after 8:30 p.m. and found one man dead at the scene. He had been killed with a shotgun blast to the chest, police say.

The shooting was reported in the 1200 block of South Winston Avenue, near 11th and Yale. 

Police said this was a domestic incident.

One man is in custody after the shooting.
