The Tulsa Police Department says officers were able to take a man into custody after a pursuit through midtown and north Tulsa Saturday afternoon.
Officers say they were patrolling near the 6700 block of East 17th Street for a suspect wanted on gun and drug charges. They say they saw him get into a vehicle and try to get away.
Police say the pursuit lasted 20 minutes and ended near East Ute Street and North Darlington Place.
"He ran out on foot and we caught him about a block and a half away in the neighborhood," said Sergeant Robert Rohloff with the Tulsa Police Department. "Officers took him into custody without incident."
The suspect's identity has not yet been released.
