TULSA — A 28-year-old man was arrested Sunday morning after police said he set fire to a vehicle in midtown Tulsa, which also caused a nearby building to catch fire.
The incident happened before 5 a.m. Sunday near an apartment complex at 6324 East 32 Street. Firefighters arrived at the scene and found a car next to the apartments on fire.
The fire had consumed the vehicle, and also caused damage to the nearby building.
A witness told firefighters that he saw Joseph Osborne set fire to his vehicle and flee the scene.
Tulsa police said there was video of Osborne purchasing fuel at a nearby QuikTrip. Investigators were able to determine that Osborne did in fact set fire to the car.
He was arrested on counts of third-degree arson and endangering human life.
