Police investigating murder, suicide in East Tulsa

TULSA -- Police are investigating a murder, suicide after a man and woman were found dead in an East Tulsa home Sunday morning.

Police say a man called Saturday night around 8:30 very worried, saying he hasn't seen his wife since 11 that morning.

Police found out the woman was having an affair, and according to a Facebook post could be in danger.

According to police everyone involved were Hmong and didn't speak English.

Two Hmong Tulsa police officers were able to communicate and translate the Facebook post.

Police found out the 33-year-old woman and 44-year-old suspect were fighting about their relationship. 

Police went to the man's house on East 38th Place and saw her car parked out front.

Officers heard muffled noises coming from the house, knocked on the door, but didn't get a response.

They tried calling both cell phones but didn't get an answer.

After receiving a search warrant officers went in the house around 6 a.m. on Sunday.

Police say they found both the man and woman dead in the same bedroom, both with gunshot wounds.

Police believe the man shot the woman, then killed himself.

This is Tulsa's 11th homicide of 2018.
