TULSA -- Police are investigating after a shooting in east Tulsa Sunday night.
According to police, two men were driving on 21st Street when they got into an argument. Officers say the driver shot the passenger, and the bullet went through his hand and both legs.
Police said the passenger got out of the car and went to a gas station near 21st & Garnett for help.
They said paramedics took the 29-year-old victim to the hospital in critical condition, where he underwent surgery for his injuries. Officers have yet to interview him.
Police said the suspected shooter showed up several hours later at the Riverside division to talk to detectives. He claimed that he shot the man after wrestling away the gun from him during an attempted robbery.
Police said they released the suspected shooter, and no arrests have been made yet. The investigation is ongoing.
