SOUTH TULSA, Okla. — Tulsa police have one in custody after fight over a bicycle ended with one man dead.
Police say they were called out to the Youth Services building, located at 311 S. Madison, around 2 p.m. after people broke up a fight between two men in their early 20s.
"People tried to break it up, but the guy decided that wasn’t enough so we brought a knife in to it, apparently the victim tried to get away and the suspect chased him down and killed him," said Sergeant Brandon Watkins from the Tulsa Police Department Homicide Unit. " Yeah, it doesn’t make a lot of sense."
The victim was stabbed in the upper torso and died when he arrived at the hospital.
Patrol officers found the suspect a few blocks away from the Youth Services building. He is currently in custody.
