Authorities are investigating a multi-vehicle collision involving an officer, according to the Tulsa Police Department.

The incident happened Tuesday evening in downtown Tulsa near North Denver Avenue and West Archer Street.

Tulsa Police say a police officer was headed south on Denver and attempting to turn east onto Cameron when they were rear-ended by a truck. This incident caused the police car to go into the northbound lanes, hitting an Election Board member's car.

The officer sustained injuries to his arm and leg, police said.

Police say the driver of the pickup that rear-ended the police car was cited.

Police told 2 Works for You that the ballots eventually reached their final destination at the Tulsa County Election Board.
