Police investigate after homeowner shoots, kills intruder in midtown Tulsa

TULSA -- Police are investigating a shooting in midtown Tulsa on Tuesday morning.

The incident was reported in the 4900 block of South Columbia around 9 a.m. Police said they received a report from a homeowner, who claimed to have shot and killed an intruder who was in the bathroom of the home.

The intruder, identified as Donald Stovall, was pronounced dead at the scene. Police have not said what kind of weapon was used in the shooting.

The address tied to this shooting had a similar incident happen in 2013, when a homeowner at the address shot at an intruder, who lived. The same homeowner, Charles Sweeney, was involved in both shootings.The 2 Works for You story from that incident is attached in the video player above.

The homeowner was questioned by police.
