STILLWATER, Okla. - A Stillwater man was arrested Sunday after police say he backed into several motorcycles, injuring a motorcyclist.

On Sunday, police were called to 700 block of South Washington Street in Stillwater around 2 p.m. after receiving a shots fired call.

When they arrived, police say they discovered two damaged motorcycles and one injured motorcyclist lying in the road.

Police later found out that a black Dodge truck ran a red light and nearly hit three motorcycles. When confronted by the motorcyclists, the truck's driver put his vehicle in reverse, striking two motorcycles and injuring one of the motorcycle drivers, according to witnesses.

Witnesses also told police that the injured man, later identified as Jim Tillotson, 39, pulled out a pistol and shot at the driver of the truck but no one was injured as a result.

After being located by police, Nicholas Thompson, 22, was arrested on multiple charges including driving under the influence and assault with a dangerous weapon.

The truck's passenger, Shelby Morrison, 21, was also arrested for public intoxication.

Tillotson sustained serious injuries and was taken to the hospital for treatment.
