TULSA -- Tulsa police continue to investigate after a woman was found dead in the parking lot of Woodland Hills Mall on Thursday night.
The woman was identified as Samantha Barlow, 21. She was found dead just before 8:30 p.m. A small caliber handgun was found near to where Barlow was found, which was outside of her small sports car.
Police said there are not any direct witnesses who have come forward in connection with the shooting, and that surveillance video does not show the area where she was shot.
The shooting happened at about 8:10 p.m. and police said they have confirmed that Barlow was alone at a nearby Walmart at 7:45 p.m.
Police are investigating the incident from a suicide angle, a murder angle and an accidental shooting angle. Detectives said that not any one angle is more prevalent than the other.
Barlow lived in McAlester and came to Tulsa periodically as an exotic dancer, police said.
There is no motive in the death at this time, and no indication that the death is a random act.
Anyone who may have seen Barlow or her red Pontiac on Thursday is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 918-596-2677 or email email@example.com.
