TULSA - A suspect jumped three fences in strangers' back yards after a chase with Tulsa Police through a north Tulsa neighborhood and was arrested when he was caught hiding under a boat in one of those yards, according to authorities.
Police say the chase started about 6:25 p.m. Sunday when officers spotted a possible stolen truck at a motel at 7475 E. Admiral. Before they could approach, they say a man and a woman hurriedly jumped into the truck and sped away. The chase started around Admiral and Memorial and ended when the driver jumped out of the truck at 111 N. Florence, according to police reports.
Christopher Serna, 26, was taken into custody and officers say he will be charged with possession of a stolen vehicle among other charges and that he is wanted on a no-bond five felony count warrant. Police say the suspect lost a shoe at some point when he was jumping fences. They also said he was known to carry a gun, but they found none on him or in the area they searched after the chase. They did, however, find ammunition in the female passenger's purse, according to their report.
The female passenger was not identified.
