Police bust large marijuana growing operation in Checotah while serving search warrant

CHECTOAH, Okla. -- Police said they busted a large marijuana growing operation while serving a search warrant Saturday night.

The Checotah Police Department announced the bust on its Facebook page Sunday morning. The post said officers seized an undisclosed amount of marijuana plants, scales, cash and marijuana packaged for distribution.

Police said they would like to thank the McIntosh County Sheriff's Office and the district attorney's office for their help.

It is not immediately known if police arrested any suspects related to the marijuana growing operation.
