According to the Broken Arrow police, the Broken Arrow Police Traffic Specialist Unit are on the scene of a fatality collision.

Police say that a truck hit and killed a man on a bicycle in the roadway.

New Orleans (101st Street) will be closed between Garnett Road and Olive (129th East Avenue) during the investigation, police say.

Police say the driver is currently being interviewed as the department continues their investigation.

They told 2 Works for You, the man was dead on scene, and the driver of that truck is being cooperative with no evidence of a DUI.

Officers say an accident like this is unusual.

Officer Chris walker with the Broken Arrow Police Department says, "There's heavy bicycle traffic presence. It's a 40 mile an hour zone. It's not heavily trafficked until rush hour and this was after rush hour."

Police say they hope to have the victim identified by the end of the day.
