Tulsa police say they have arrested a 66-year-old man for reportedly raping and kidnapping a 13-year-old girl.
Officers say back on July 19, the victim was walking east on Admiral near Sheridan when Samuel D. Williams pulled up in a pickup truck and asked if she needed a ride.
The victim said she refused, but Williams drove up on her again seven minutes later, cornered her between a motel and a restaurant and proceeded to blindfold her and drive her to an unknown area, police say.
Police said Williams then dropped the victim off near an elementary school.
On July 20, officers on patrol spotted a vehicle matching the description in the same area picking up a suspected adult prostitute, officers say.
Police say the suspect fit the description given by the victim.
Security video of both the truck and the girl was recovered from several locations around Admiral and Sheridan, police say.
Officers say the information obtained by the officers on the car, the video evidence, and a strong statement and identification by the victim, led the district attorney's office to agree there was probable cause to arrest the suspect.
Williams was located and arrested in Osage County and booked into the Tulsa County Jail on first-degree rape and kidnapping charges.
