TULSA--Tulsa Police arrest two juveniles in connection with serial burglaries of a pawn shop. Police say that in the last two weeks the EZ Pawn at 7482 E. Admiral Pl has been burglarized six times.
Police say that most of the crimes happened shortly after closing. Officers believed the suspects lived in the neighborhood.
Detectives set up inside the business when they heard someone attempting to break in the back rollup door about 10pm on October 16. Detectives chased the suspect from the fenced in area in the back of the store. Police say that one suspect, a 14-year-old boy, was quickly caught.
The second suspect escaped.
Officers were transporting the 14-year-old suspect to his residence to get his parents when they spotted the second suspect with no shirt on and sweating, even though it was cold out. Police had already gotten the name on the second suspect and quickly confirmed this was their second suspect. The 15-year-old boy was arrested on North Memorial.
Officers found that earlier in the evening the parents of the 14-year-old had called GID officers and turned in numerous ipads and watches and other property they thought their son had stolen from somewhere.
Detectives are working on recovering more loot at this time that has been dispersed at East Central High School.
