TULSA — Tulsa police have arrested Daniel Freeland after he reportedly stole a Jeep at gunpoint and led police on a pursuit.

Police said at approximately 9 p.m. Wednesday, they responded to a Toyota Tundra traveling 100 miles per hour at 31st and Memorial, but when police arrived, they found the truck abandoned.

Officers said at 9:08 p.m., they were then dispatched to the 8100 block of East 31st Court in reference to a couple who were robbed of their 2017 Jeep Renegade at gunpoint.

At 9:16 p.m., police spotted Freeland at 31st and Sheridan and they began chasing him - with speeds reaching 100 mph - before officers lost them in the 3700 block of East 15th Street, authorities said.

Officers said they received a tip that Freeland was at a family member's home, but officers found Freeland hiding in some bushes several houses down from the family residence.

Police said they located the stolen Jeep, the firearm used in the robbery and a bag of narcotics - which contained a scale, pills, meth, and heroin needles.

Freeland was booked into the Tulsa County Jail and faces several charges.
