TULSA -- Employees at a midtown pharmacy held down an armed robbery suspect until police could arrive and make an arrest.

Officers responded Sunday morning to the CVS Pharmacy near 15th and Utica for reports of a strong armed robbery.

Police said a man tried to steal some merchandise from the store, but an employee stopped him before he could leave. Officers said the man then punched that worker. However, other clerks stepped in and held the man on the ground until police got there.

Police arrested the man and took him to jail, where he'll likely face charges for larceny and assault and battery.
