An Oklahoma lawmaker and two advocacy groups filed a petition to repeal permitless carry in Oklahoma.
The petition, which would become State Question 809, would make it so that anyone old enough to carry a firearm would need to have a permit.
It would also prevent law enforcement from confiscating your gun during a traffic stop when any person inside the vehicle has a valid handgun license, officials said.
The petition will have to get more than 95,000 signatures in 90 days.
