WAGONER COUNTY - Two passengers in an SUV were ejected and taken to the hospital with arm injuries near South 273rd East Avenue and 6th Street.
Oklahoma Highway Patrol troopers say the man and the woman were not wearing seatbelts.
Witnesses say the driver of the vehicle made a phone call after the accident and then ran away from the scene.
OHP says the driver was not paying attention to the road and lost control of the SUV. The driver veered off the road and rolled down a ditch.
A neighbor in the area says this is not the first time she has witnessed an accident. She says S. 273rd E Ave. is too dangerous because it's narrow and lacks lightning.
