OWASSO, Okla. — Authorities arrested two suspects in connection to the shooting death of 21-year-old Tyler Lee Collins, according to the Owasso Police Department.

On Monday, Dec. 30, 2019, Owasso police was called to the scene of an apartment complex near North Main Street and West 4th Street.

Collins was discovered inside the apartment with a gunshot wound to his head and pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

During the investigation, police say the evidence developed led to the suspects, Devin Wilson and Montre’ Wilson, who allegedly shot Collins during what appears to have been a drug related robbery attempt.

On Monday, Feb. 3, Owasso Detectives presented the findings of the investigation to the Tulsa County District Attorney’s Office and arrest warrants were issued for the Wilsons, according to Owasso police.

Members of the Owasso Police Department, Skiatook Police Department and the Northern Oklahoma Violent Fugitive Task Force executed warrants at residences in Tulsa and Skiatook, police said.

Police say Devin and Montre’ Wilson were taken into custody for first degree murder.
