Owasso named No. 3 school district in Oklahoma

OWASSO, Okla. — The Owasso Public Schools district is the third-best in the state of Oklahoma, according to a new study.

Backgroundchecks.org, a consumer reporting agency, conducted the study, and cited factors such as number of students, graduation rate, teacher quality, school funding, student to teacher ratio and standardized test results.

Owasso was the lone Tulsa County school in the top five, while the Bixby district was ranked No. 9.

Other districts of note:

  • No. 13 -- Adair
  • No. 19 -- Stillwater
  • No. 23 -- Jenks

Edmond was ranked as the No. 1 district in the state, followed by Deer Creek.
