TULSA — A group of Owasso High School students are going on a trip of a lifetime to New York City where they were invited to perform at the famed Carnegie Hall.

There are about 40 students going on the trip that are part of the choir and 12 adults going.

The choir's director says this is the third time they've been invited to perform at Carnegie Hall in NYC, but for many students, this will be their first time to sing on the big stage.

The choir members say they spent many hours practicing before the trip, and they feel honored to have been invited.

"We want to the school proud," student J.J. Willis said.

They're one of nearly 30 school choirs that were invited to perform this weekend at Carnegie Hall.

They'll be performing on Friday and will return on Sunday.
