OWASSO, Okla. – After interviewing several students regarding an alleged threat made against the Owasso 7th grade center, police say there is no current credible threat.
School went on a usual Friday after Owasso police were able to identify and speak with the student accused of making a threat of school shooting. The student is not attending school on Friday, the day allegedly chosen for the threat.
Officers are continuing to investigate but allowed students to attend classes with additional police presence as a precaution.
The situation began Thursday when, Owasso police say, a student claimed to have overheard another student saying what he thought was a shooting threat at the middle school.
No charges have been filed and no disciplinary action has been taken yet.
