NORMAN, Okla. — The University of Oklahoma's Sooner Flight Academy is hosting virtual summer camps this year.

After the program's in-person camps were canceled due to COVID-19, officials say it switched things up to allow kids ages six to 18 to learn about aviation right from their homes.

The camps will take place from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday to Friday throughout June and July.

“Each day, there will be two sessions of group interaction on Zoom meetings with time in between for self-directed activities with toys, kits and supplies included for our virtual campers,” said SFA Program Director Dawn Machalinski. “Instruction, videos and content will be provided on the OU Canvas platform.”
