NORMAN, Okla. (KOCO-TV) — A group of students at the University of Oklahoma say they are going on a hunger strike after another professor used a racial slur during class, according to KOCO-TV in Oklahoma City.

Members of OU's Black Emergency Response Team say they will not eat until their demands are met.

Some of the group's demands include mandatory equality training for all faculty, expand diversity training to a semester long class taken by all students and create a multi-cultural center for all marginalized groups.

This was the second time in about two weeks that an OU professor has used a racial slur in class.
