NORMAN — University of Oklahoma officials announced Monday that upperclass students will get free summer housing.

In a statement, school officials said that upperclass students who "complete a 2019-20 campus housing contact will get to live rent-free on campus."

"In order to qualify, upperclass students must complete their 2019-2020 campus contract by 11:59 p.m., May 3," officials said in a statement. "The contract fee will be waived beginning March 4 at noon. Next, the student must complete a summer 2019 housing contract. The student’s summer 2019 housing contract location must be the same location as the student’s completed 2019-1010 upperclass housing location in order to qualify for free summer housing. Students are not guaranteed their summer assignment will be the same as their future fall assignment. This offer is not available for incoming freshmen."
