NORMAN, Okla. — University of Oklahoma officials are responding after an apparent racist video involving a student popped up on Facebook.

A Snapchat video shows a student, who's a sorority member, saying a racial slur while also wearing black paint on her face.

The OU Tri Delta sorority chapter issued the statement saying in part.

"They deeply regret the actions of one of their members."

The sorority says they're working with the university and executive office staff to investigate the incident and take appropriate action to hold members accountable.

OU officials are calling the video "inappropriate and derogatory" and they are following up with the students.
