NORMAN, Okla. (AP) -- The University of Oklahoma has suspended Akolda Manyang from the basketball team indefinitely.

OU announced the suspension Thursday in a statement after Manyang was charged with aggravated assault for an incident on Campus Corner in Norman on Sunday.

Court documents allege Manyang punched former OU football player Tyler Evans in the mouth and broke two of his teeth early Sunday morning.

Manyang is a 7-foot center who played in 25 games last season and averaged 2.5 points, 2.1 rebounds and 1.4 blocks per game.
