According to U.S. News & World Report, the University of Oklahoma Michael F. Price College of Business is ranked No. 50 in the nation for the first time.
Other undergraduate programs ranked nationally include petroleum engineering coming in at No. 5, and overall engineering programs ranked at No. 108.
The university takes the No. 60 spot among public institutions and was also ranked No. 93 as best for veterans among national colleges and universities.
Among all private and public institutions, the University ranked No. 132.
“We appreciate the value of the U.S. News ranking and its role in educating prospective students about their higher education options,” said OU Interim President Joseph Harroz Jr. “This year, we’re grateful to have just welcomed the largest freshman class in our University’s history, with more than 4,500 freshman students choosing to attend the University of Oklahoma.”
Officials say the magazine based its findings on criteria including, graduation and retention rates, faculty resources, student selectivity, financial resources and alumni giving.
