You might want to keep extra coins in your car if you take the tolls roads in Oklahoma.
A new 2.5 percent toll increase has gone into effect on July 15.
This affects cash customers only. Those who have a Pikepass will not pay more.
The Oklahoma Turnpike Authority (OTA) said this is the third and final toll increase for the Driving Forward Initiative that was announced in 2015. The first hike was implemented on March 2017 for 12 percent, followed by a 2.5 percent increase on January 2018.
OTA said Pikepass customers make up about 78 percent of all drivers on the turnpike system and save about 10 percent in tolls.
