The Oklahoma Turnpike Authority says they've been awarded a construction contract for a project on the Gilcrease Expressway Turnpike.
It's a planned 5-mile extension of the existing expressway in west Tulsa, which connects I-44 and US 412.
The construction team will get more than $260 million for the toll road, which is all funded by the City of Tulsa, ODOT, and the Indian Nation Council of Governments.
Agency officials say construction will begin at the end of this year and should be done by early 2022.
