OSDH: Flu deaths increase by 1, making the total 4 in Oklahoma

According to the Oklahoma State Department of Health's weekly flu activity summary, the number of flu deaths have increased by 1, making the total 4 in Oklahoma.

OSDH reports that a total of 145 people were hospitalized with testing between the dates of Sept. 1 and Nov. 30, 2019.

OSDH report shows this number has increased by 23, making the new total 168 due to new hospitalizations between Dec. 1 and Dec.7.

OSDH is now reporting there has been one new death related to the flu, making the total for Oklahoma four cumulative deaths.

Reports show that one death was in Tulsa County, one was in East Central Oklahoma, one was in Northeast Oklahoma and the other in Northweat Oklahoma. Three of the deaths were individuals who were 65 years or older.
